M5 - Book has some wear on the cover and top and bottom spine and corners, tanning and fading on the spine, wrinkling with some tears on the hinge of the front inside pages, some light wear on the hinges of some inside pages, discoloration (especially on the cover inside pages and page edges), and shelf wear. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Illustrated with 12 color plates including frontis and many black and white drawings. Book Condition: Very Good. Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering on front board and spine. Spine lettering is faded but readable. Corners tipped. Spine ends rubbed. See picture. Name dated "Xmas 1924" on front free page. Crayon marks on back of frontis. Frontis has minor edge and closed tear (1/2") on side of frontis in margin. Interior: Spine cracked at title page. No marks. Clean and tight. You may contact me for pictures.

Illustrated plate on front has some scratches and rubbed spots. Binding is good. Some pink staining on lower page edge. Rear endpaper has a tiny hole, and one page has closed tears on outer margin. Foxing and light staining here and there throughout, that does not affect readability. Has 8 nice color plate illustrations. LO.

In very good pictorial boards, with red cloth spine, featuring elephants in water to front and red titles. The covers are clean, quite firm, with slight edge-wear. Rear free end paper is tanned; prize plate to front paste down. Grubby cut edges. The text block is tightly bound, square and not tanned or marked. With colour and b/w illustrations by Edwin Nobel and others. Very good condition. No jacket.
