Vintage studio still photograph from the 1942 film. A man goes to a tropical island to try and buy the land on behalf of his father, but when he falls for the current landowner's daughter his father arrives to try and break them up. Set on the fictional island of Ahmi-Oni, shot on location in Honolulu, Hawaii, and Santa Catalina Island, California. 10 x 8 inches. Very Good plus.

Two vintage studio still photographs from the 1938 film. Based on the play "Larger Than Life" by Joseph Schrank, in turn based on the short story by Norman H. Matson, about a timid linoleum company clerk whose girlfriend's overbearing mother decides it is time for the couple to marry. 10 x 8 inches. Very Good plus overall, with light edgewear.

Er entdeckte, dass Kohle elektrisch leitend ist und die Zusammenhänge zwischen Elektrizität und chemischen Reaktionen. Berühmt wurde er 1774 mit der Isolierung des Gases 'Sauerstoff', das er jedoch nicht gleich als neues chemisches Element erkannte. Desweiteren stellte er Ammoniak, Schwefeldioxid und Kohlenmonoxid her. Bahnbrechend sind seine Forschungen zur Photosynthese, dass Pflanzen Sauerstoff aufnehmen und abgeben und die Rolle des Lichtes dabei. Die 'PRI[E]STLEYISCHE GRÜNE MATERIE' ist nichts anderes als Phytoplankton, das entsteht, wenn stehendes oder langsam fliessendes Wasser längere Zeit dem Sonnenlicht ausgesetzt ist und das den Beginnn der Nahrungskette der Lebewesen darstellt. Wegen seines Eintretens für die Französische Revolution wurde 1791 sein Haus in Birmingham mit Labor und Bibliothek von einem Mob in Brand gesteckt, was ihn zur baldigen Auswanderung nach Nordamerika veranlasste.

Unbound. Etat : Near Fine. First Edition. Complete, original script for the Pulitzer Prize Playhouse production of the televised adaptation of Booth Tarkington's The Magnificent Ambersons broadcast on ABC Television on November 3, 1950. The script is noted as "FINAL" and dated October 20, 1950. This is director Alex Segal's copy and contains his numerous pencil (both black and red) notations and deletions throughout. IMDB states that the four primary actors in this production were Melvyn Douglas, Ruth Hussey, Florence Eldridge, and Richard Hylton, although it incorrectly lists the director. The script has 101 mimeographed pages. Most are in near fine condition. The title-page has a rust mark from a clip and brief wear, page 61 is ruffled along the bottom edge, and the final page also has a rust mark. Segal's extensive pencil notations appear on almost every page, usually in multiples.

Final Draft script for the 1942 film, here under the working title "The Magnificent Jerk." Production No. 647, and copy No.1 stamped on the front wrapper, with FINAL printedd at the top right corner of same. Single annotation on title page amending title with "Dope," in manuscript pencil. Laid in is a credit sequence page, with credits divided, horizontally, from letters "a" to "h." Don Ameche runs a Dale Carnegie-esque "success school" that isn't terribly successful, and at the suggestion of his secretary decides to pursue a promotion where the company makes a success out of the "laziest man in America," who turns out to be Henry Fonda. Set in New York City. Blue titled wrappers, noted as FINAL on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped copy No. 1 and production No. 647, dated FEB. 14, 1942. Distribution page present, with receipt removed. Title page present, dated February 14, 1942, noted as Final Script, with credits for screenwriter George Seaton. 136 leaves, with last page of text numbered 131. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only, with blue revision pages throughout, dated variously between 2/18/42 and 3/30/42. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus, with one two and a half inch closed tear on front wrapper and several small closed tears, bound internally with two gold brads. Credit Sequence, 8.5 x 11 inches. Very Good plus, with center crease, open tears at top and bottom hole punch and very small chip on top right.
